Personal goals · Consistency · Progress
A motivator for your personal goals. Stand your Watch.
Turn the things you want to consistently do into a daily Watch. Build momentum, see your progress, and work toward something meaningful.
Today’s Orders
Choose a short list of real commitments for the day. At noon, Today’s Orders lock in: this is what you said you would do. Follow through, log the effort, and stand your Watch.
A deliberate limit keeps the Watch focused: a commitment you can stand behind, not another endless backlog.
Standing Orders
A seven-day Voyage gives your effort a larger goal. Its Standing Orders run alongside the daily Watch, setting objectives that stay in view across the whole Voyage instead of resetting each morning.
“Just keep logging.”
Voyages give the week a direction. Standing Orders are how that direction gets checked off.
The Voyage a Standing Order serves.
Every action leaves a wake.
The Logbook is the permanent record of your Watch — every completed Order, every Voyage, the XP you’ve earned and the days you showed up. Nothing resets on Monday, and a missed day isn’t a punishment — it’s just not logged.
A visible record of showing up
One day is an action. The Logbook lets you see when those actions have become consistency.
Crew accountability
At noon your Orders post to Today’s Watch. Your Crew can see what you committed to and how the day is going — and you can see theirs.
“I said I was going to do this today — and my Crew knows I said it.”
See Crew commitments, encourage the effort, add a little banter, and aim for a Clean Sweep when everyone aboard finishes their Orders.
Crew is optional. The accountability is there when doing it alongside people you know would help you show up.
Career & progression
Each day you follow through becomes part of something longer. Valid logs earn XP, which raises your Level and advances your Career Rank over time. The ranks and rewards make progress tangible; the real value is the work behind them.
A Service Record in THE HELM
XP and rank are the feedback system, not the point. The point is what you actually did to earn them.
Cabin & companions
Use the Doubloons earned by showing up to choose fittings from the Chandlery, make the Cabin your own, and adopt Polly or Wolly. It’s the warm character layer waiting beyond the work.

Troublesome. Hungry. Keeps it real.

Companions and customisation are the reward — not the point. The point is the watch you stood to get here.
Every action leaves a wake.
Build consistency, sail your Voyages, and do it alongside your Crew.
